Jackie has worked in childcare for 20 years, holding various positions caring for children of all ages and abilities.

  • BA Hons  Early Years Professional Practice
  • Trained in Paediatric First Aid
  • Health & Safety in Education – Level 2
  • Designated person/Lead person for safeguarding children
  • Designated person for child protection – Level 3

Mrs. Sue Dixon
Nursery Administrator

Mrs Sue Dixon is the Nursery’s administrator, she has worked for the Nursery for 13 years. Mrs Dixon is also the Nursery’s treasurer.

Your Questions Answered

One member has a B.A. in education studies.
5 members have level 3 in childcare
All are safeguarded trained
2 are designated persons.

All of our staff hold a paediatric first aid certificate.

Through observations and the E.Y.F.S. development highlighting sheet.

We have half termly social events where we speak to the parents about their child’s development.
Once a term their child’s Learning Journey book is sent home for parents to look at. If a parent has any concerns staff are always available to speak to or an appointment can be made.

We aim to work towards a situation in which children can develop self-discipline and self-esteem in an atmosphere of mutual respect and encouragement.

All adults in the Nursery will praise and endorse desirable behaviour such as kindness and willingness to share.


We use a puppet called Bobby to tell stories about unkindness and not sharing.
